Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) has one of the lowest friction coefficients of any solid material, which makes it perfect for coating swivels as it reduces any friction between the barrel and the eye, and the freer spinning they are, the less chance there is of tangles, plus can make some rigs more efficient as well when it comes to hooking fish. So not only do these swivels offer plenty of movement as a result of featuring a ring at both ends, they also allow those rings to spin around independently of each other in the smoothest way possible.
