We really wanted to call this page, meet the meat, well, some of us aren’t strangers to biscuits and fredos. A real mix of people, but all contribute so much to the shop.
Tim
The Guvn’r, Timothy to his mum, for the last year has steadied the ship since 2006. Always independent, his ambition since leaving Eurotunnel was to create a tackle shop run by anglers for anglers with all the little quality bits. 12 years later, he still is super passionate about angling, and even catches a few; just last year catching 4 x 40’s in 4 consecutive visits to his syndicate in the UK.
Lee “Maureen” Randall
Lee has been carp angling since an early age, guided by his angling father and uncle. A life as a mechanic and football coach has been along side his undoubtable passion for catching big carp. Something of a carp magnet, he earned his spurs on waters ranging from nearby Fordwich and Conningbrook to Medway valley’s Brookland, Larkfield and Big Lake making them seem easy. Now branching futher afield, fishing Thames valley waters, with equal sucesses. These successes, have brought attention from Century and Mainline, garnering sponsorship, but now with Nash.
Shaun “Needle” Grist
Shaun, always smiling belies the effort he puts into his angling on limited time. Always tinkering and messing about with the latest and greatest gadget, method or bait. Shaun spreads his limited time across a range of local waters, difficult and easy, always has his ear to the ground.
Other Friends of the Shop
Adrian “Spick and Span”
Also a brand of American house hold cleaner, so as you can guess, probably the neatest angler on the bank. He’s done his time around the hard waters of the south east, now just relaxes on the more accessible waters, fishing where time affords.
Gareth
Our escapee Londoner, a regular on the medway valley waters… we think he catches some on occasion.
“Former British Record Holder” Jon Pack
Famous for catching Two Tone from nearby Conningbrook, at a then British record weight. Through that time, he’d also captured Friendly Mirror, Long Common and others. He then went on to catch Heather and Arthur from the intense Car Park Lake at Yateley.
