Rod Hutchinson Essential Oils 30ml

Use these unique essential oils to spice up your baits. They are highly concentrated and only requires a few drops adding to your bait, base or groundbait mix.

RH1 – MARJORAM: There once was a saying among Dutch carp anglers that on really hard, difficult nights, if only one bait would get picked up, it would be the one with RH 1. It’s by far the most famous and popular in the range of Rod’s essential oils. When used in combination with Megaspice flavour, it creates one of the most effective winter formulas ever conceived. The characteristic aromatic note is Marjoram.

RH2 – PATCHOULI: is much more suitable than RH 1 for “team working” with Rod Hutchinson flavours, especially the Creams (Strawberry or Savay). But during all summer months, and well into autumn, RH 2 will be extremely effective even on its own. Both RH 1 and RH 2 are particularly suited to loose-textured mixes like the Yellow Mix. The characteristic aromatic note is Patchouli.

RH3 – BLACK PEPPER: Experienced Anglers from all of Europe have found RH 3 to be particularly effective with fish-based baits, so if you want to follow their advice you should use it together with the Liver and Superfish mix, and flavours such as Squid&Octopus, or the all-time classic Monster Crab. The characteristic aromatic note is Black Pepper.

RH4 GERANIUM JAMAICAN SPECIAL: After RH 1, perhaps the most popular of Rod’s essential oils. It is simply one of those products everybody seem to be able to catch on, and one that works just as well on its own as it does with a whole variety of flavours. It works extremely well in winter when used in combination with fruit flavours, particularly Mulberry Florentine and Pineapple Supreme. The characteristics aromatic notes are citrus fruits and spices.

RH6 – CEDAR & ORIENTAL SPICES – This essential oil should be in every modern Angler’s trick case. Cassia, cumin and other Eastern spices mix perfectly with this oil, one of the most important of our range. Excellent with the Megaspice and Cool Spice flavours, or to back an alcohol-based fish flavour such as Frosty Oyster. You can hardly go wrong with this one. The characteristic aromatic notes are Cedar and Oriental Spices

RH7 – CEDAR & ORIENTAL SPICES: Many months have been necessary to fine-tune its formula, and just as many to try it in difficult and different waters such as Cassien, many other French lakes, Belgian and Dutch rivers. Its tang, dense and persistent note makes it perfect to match fruity flavours and fish mixes. The characteristic aromatic notes are cumin, mint and ylang ylang.

RH8 – BERGAMOT: is an amazing oil. It blends perfectly with many different flavours. It’s the fresh smell and the citrus/fruity taste that give this oil its versatility. Works well with fruity flavours, and even better with Squid Octopus and Summer Agent. Use 1-2 ml every 500g of basemix. The characteristic aromatic note is bergamot orange.

RH9 – CINNAMON: the essential oil par excellence, with its unmistakable cinnamon note. Our version is particularly intense and warm. Its advisable to use this oil together with Hutchinson’s NHDC Sweetener to get a bait of unparalleled sweetness and taste. Extremely versatile, use just 1-2 ml every 500g of base mix. The characteristic aromatic note is cinnamon.
